We’re excited to announce that we’ve sponsored yet another seed-stage startup program. TechStars is a mentorship-driven seed stage investment fund which runs a summer-long program in Boulder, Colorado and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Selected companies get up to $18,000 in seed funding, a summer of intensive top-notch mentorship, the chance to pitch to investors—and now use of The Resumator to manage their hiring process.
TechStars Executive Director David Cohen says, “We’re excited to see businesses such as The Resumator reach out and ask how they can support our startups. This sponsorship will provide a valuable, time-saving service for our companies as they search for interns and ultimately—with a little luck and a lot of hard work—their first employees.”
The sponsorship will enable TechStars companies to use The Resumator for sourcing candidates for internships and other employment needs during the program. With such a short time to develop their web applications, any time saved on the process of looking for talent will be well spent.
Don Charlton, Founder and CEO of The Resumator, is very familiar with startup programs, having grown The Resumator from within Pittsburgh’s AlphaLab program. “These types of programs are essential for startups with limited capital to get off the ground. Knowing The Resumator owes much of its success to the great mentorship I received during AlphaLab, I made it my mission to reach out to other startup programs and offer our services. TechStars is a great program doing great things. It’s where we need to be.”
As a startup company ourselves, we think it’s only right to reach out and support emerging entrepreneurs as they try to build successful businesses. TechStars has a wonderful group of mentors that will be helping these startups make key product and business decisions over the summer. We’re proud to be able to provide our services to such a highly-respected program.
