New Features: Applicant History and Applicant Categories

Posted in New Features

Over the last few days we’ve rolled out two new features in The Resumator. One feature will help you organize your applicants and retrieve subsets of them quickly. The other feature will ensure you know the who, what and when of any applicant.

Applicant Categories

categoriesWith The Resumator sending so many resumes your way, it can be understandable that there are more talented applicants than open positions. Our new categorization feature enables you to create a preset list of categories under which to group subsets of applicants. With this feature, you can ensure uniform organization of certain applicants under categories such as “Great Future Hires” or “Microsoft Project Expert.”

Categories differ from our existing tags feature in that while tags can be unique to each applicant, categories are a fixed set of keywords managed by your account administrator. Use categories to uniformly group special sets of applicants. Use tags to…well..“tag“ individual applicants with relevant keywords specific to them.

We have no idea why this feature wasn’t in The Resumator when it launched. Real simple—we now include the history of activity related to the applicant on the profile screen. This little window makes it easy to see a reverse-chronological list of all actions related to the applicant.

Have a Feature Suggestion?

Feel free to suggest features here. We read and evaluate every single request. Many features—big or small—requested by our users have been incorporated into the service.

Please add a batch feature that will allow us to close candidates out after we filled the position.
EX: we filled the compiler role I would like to send a thank you not to each applicant informing them that the position has been filled.
thank you
