MobileFusion is seeking an experienced software developer with a passion for technology to work on our highly scalable and high performance core Intelligent Analytics platform and technology.  The candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in developing and debugging distributed and real-time systems. The candidate will be a key part of the engineering team and will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing transparent, scalable, and portable distributed/parallel structured software components for the SmartFusion Intelligent Analytics platform.
  • Designing new features and applications for the platform, seeing development from conception and design through testing and deployment.
  • Determining the software characteristics that drive or are constrained by hardware requirements.
  • Writing detailed functional specifications that document the software architecture, design, implementation and the use of the required development infrastructure.
  • Design and develop methods for storage and streaming of various data types at real-time or near real-time rates
  •  Design and develop methods for efficient search and annotation of stored data

Qualifications

  • Strong C/C++ experience
  • Strong Linux application development experience (esp. Real-time and multithreaded).
  • Knowledge of compression methods for storage and streaming along with large scale database systems and SQL
  • Experience with large scale distributed computing (MapReduce, Hadoop, Cluster Computing etc.).
  • Evidence of the ability to do original thinking – writing papers, contributing to patents, acting as a principal investigator on research work, acting as a principle software engineer on a major commercial effort
  • 3-5 years of software development experience, ideally developing multi-threaded applications for distributed, sensor and/or  network systems
  •  BS/MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related

MobileFusion is seeking an experienced software developer with extensive experience in developing and debugging real-time machine learning-based systems.  The candidate will have hands on experience in building predictive models from research to final implementation and the candidate’s expertise will include building and/or using some or all of the following statistical/probabilistic models: Bayesian networks, Support Vector Machines, Clustering algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence based knowledge extraction routines.  The candidate will work specifically on design and developing embedded and client software for combining and fusing a wide-range of data streams and sensors for products targeting commercial and defense applications. The candidate will be a key part of the engineering team and will be responsible for: 

  • Architecting, developing and applying pattern recognition and machine learning techniques to a wide variety of interesting problems involving high throughput, high content data and sensor streams.
  •  In collaboration with the Director of Technology delivering a long-term vision and architecture to expand MobileFusion’s Intelligent Analytics software platform. 
  • Developing AI/Machine Learning algorithms for data and sensor fusion, localization, tracking and classification.
  • Determining the software characteristics that drive or are constrained by hardware requirements.
  • Writing detailed functional specifications that document the software architecture, design, implementation and the use of the required development infrastructure.
  • Participating in the design process and documentation of the software architecture
  • Running experiments and mathematical simulations to analyze and improve performance of core system components.
  • Collaborating with a team to design and implement advanced machine learning algorithms and tools

Qualifications 

  •  3-5 years of software development experience, ideally developing multi-threaded distributed applications
  • Evidence of the ability to do original thinking – writing papers, contributing to patents, acting as a principal investigator on research work, acting as a principle software engineer on a major commercial effort
  • Understanding of statistical pattern recognition and machine learning concepts
  • Strong C/C++ programming experience for numerically-sensitive and computationally-intensive algorithms 
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical  or related with emphasis on machine learning
