The Resumator Introduces New Product Feature: Workflow Helpers
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
The Resumator, the hiring solution for today’s fastest-growing businesses, announced the addition of Workflow Helpers to its robust hiring software.
“We were the first Applicant Tracking System to really simplify the nuts and bolts of hiring for users,” said The Resumator’s founder and CEO, Don Charlton. “The Helpers go one step further.”
The Resumator’s Software as a Service (SaaS) already provides the power of an HR department with the simplicity of an application, thanks to its Default and Custom Workflows – simple, standardized sets of steps that move applicants through the hiring process. This new addition of Workflow Helpers adds powerful action to these workflows, removing tedious tasks associated with everyday use.
“Our goal is to make nervous hirers feel like hiring veterans as soon as they start,” Charlton continued. “Workflow Helpers will make their actions perform in a much more efficient manner.”
You can add Helpers to any step in your applicant workflow, making customization and automation of your hiring process a breeze. When you perform an action or change a status inside The Resumator, the Helpers you have created automatically handle the secondary steps previously associated with the function. Workflow Helpers remove major inefficiencies, from manually sending follow up emails to applicants to delegating assignments to hiring team members.
"We set out to create workflows that actually do work,” concluded Charlton. “I’m happy to say we accomplished that goal.”

The Resumator Goes All in with New Leadership Team
The Resumator Goes All in with New Leadership Team
The Resumator rounds out its leadership team with the addition of Andy Fraley as Chief Technology Officier.
Pittsburgh, PA, February 20, 2013 The Resumator, the provider of a Web-based hiring platform for growing employers, added more talent to its leadership team by introducing Andy Fraley as its Chief Technical Officer. A seasoned technical and operational executive, Fraley will play a key role in helping the fast-growing startup accelerate its growth.
”I'm flattered that someone with as much experience and credibility as Andy was inspired by The Resumator and has made the ultimate vote of confidence by joining our team to help us take our company to the next level," said Don Charlton, The Resumator's CEO and Founder.
Fraley’s expertise in network management, large-scale software architecture, product management and technical sales derives from 25 years of experience filling the void between technology and business. A graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Fraley is keenly aware of evolving technology and its role in business systems.
His professional career started as an engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where he quickly became one of the youngest managers in the company. He went on to lead one of the fastest growing software teams in Pittsburgh as the Senior Director of Software Development at FORE Systems. Then, as co-founder and CTO of CoManage, he helped build a leading product in a new telecom software category. All of this experience was before Fraley became the CTO of SnapRetail, where he helped build and lead a top-notch product team in retail SaaS.
“I am impressed by this growing company,” said Fraley. “They’ve done a tremendous job of laying the groundwork for success, and I’m truly excited to see how far we can take it.”
This enthusiasm stems from a strong growth period for the company selling a next generation SaaS hiring platform. In the last year alone, The Resumator has doubled its client list. Accordingly, Fraley’s vision and presence adds to a leadership team that is expanding as well.
Jason Jacobetz recently joined The Resumator team as the Vice President of Sales, while Laurie Barkman became the Vice President of Marketing less than a year before him. The Resumator leadership team is excited about the growth trajectory of the company.
Fraley’s hire marks the 34th team member at The Resumator, a company that had just 2 full time employees at the beginning of 2011.
“We’re gaining notoriety in the marketplace, and that’s directly translating into more customers, and also the ability to attract the best local talent,” said Charlton. “What’s even more exciting is that we now we have the right people in place to maximize our growth, products and service.”
About Laurie Barkman:
Laurie has a 15-year track record of success and leadership in marketing. Prior to joining The Resumator as Vice President of Marketing, Laurie scaled demand generation efforts at American Eagle Outfitters and The Art Institutes. Her early career was in Human Resources at Ingersoll-Rand Company. She earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
About Jason Jacobetz:
Jason has over 13 years of experience driving exponential growth and building sustainable value in software and IT service organizations. Prior to joining The Resumator as Vice President of Sales, Jason was the Director of Sales for Continuum (formerly Zenith Infotech), and has held various sales and marketing positions in managed services and IT consulting organizations. President Obama and Mitt Romney Select The Resumator to Staff Their Campaigns
President Obama and Mitt Romney Select The Resumator to Staff Their Campaigns
1/21/13 – Pittsburgh PA – The Resumator raised eyebrows after becoming the sole hiring platform used by Obama for America and the Romney Campaign. This bipartisan software company cemented itself as the 2012 presidential campaign software solution enabling those with limited hiring experience to staff efficiently.
Obama for America came to The Resumator in late 2011 to staff a well-organized army of campaign supporters that would quickly spread across the country. As fate would have it, the Romney Campaign turned to The Resumator as well, effectively getting its ground game up and running in early 2012.
The Resumator has quickly amassed an impressive roster of clients since launching in 2009. “We are giving fast growing companies the tools they need with software that’s easy to use and implement, which allows users to cost-effectively staff up with no prior recruiting experience. Turns out that is also the best way to staff a presidential campaign,” said Don Charlton, CEO & Founder of The Resumator.
Many factors contributed to President Obama’s win, like a good ground game, smart data and well-positioned media buys. In the end though, the ability to empower individuals played a key role. Campaign workers turned into hiring managers, who turned voters into volunteers. Yes, the campaign was people-powered, but it took the Resumator to recruit and hire those people.
“We’re not a household name, yet. So the fact that both campaigns did their homework and came back with The Resumator as their solution means a lot to us. It’s flattering to think not only is our product the preferred hiring solution for fast growing businesses, but also the preferred choice for Presidential Campaigns,” said Charlton.
“Now that we’ve handled the top of the ticket, we look forward to helping out in any upcoming local and national campaigns,” Charlton added. “With our software being used abroad, maybe we’ll help hire a Prime Minister next.”
