Online Adjunct Instructors

Weston Distance Learning continuously accepts resumes for our Online Adjunct Instructor positions. These are contract positions, having the flexibility of working from home using our online learning platform. We are seeking enthusiastic professionals who have a passion for teaching to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviews and manages the online course content, suggesting changes when needed
- Facilitates student discussions, moderating to extend the course content and to keep discussions constructive
- Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
- Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the grading of exams, and provides timely feedback to students.
- Sets clear objectives for students by posting a course syllabus with guidelines and posting expectations for assignments and exams.
Requirements include:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree and demonstrated expertise in the subject field of the Associate's Degree discipline (Graduate degree preferred). At least 2 years full-time work experience or 5 years part-time work experience in the area to be taught is required.
- Candidates must hold a degree earned from an institution accredited by an agency that is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or, for non-U.S. institutions, an accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities (18th ed.)
- General Education Faculty Candidates must possess a Baccalaureate degree in the assigned subject field or have a Baccalaureate degree, including at least 18 semester hours in the subject field.
